The 2017 tournament costs $299 USD per person. That entry fee includes a tournament welcome gift, 3 rounds of tournament golf, welcome registration function and an awards ceremony following the third round.
You can (1) enter by phone, or (2) by online form.
There will be three flights per course and six flights in total. A different Myrtle Beach golf course each set of three flights. Check out the GREAT courses hosting rounds for the 2017 Championship!
You will be informed of your three golf courses around late February. Course assignments will be released after entry is closed and all handicaps have been collected to complete the flighting process. Courses may be added or removed based on the number of participants registered.
All courses will have a 9:00 AM shotgun start each day. Please plan to arrive at the course at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
You can expect to play a tee box that is reflective of your age. Men 59 & younger will play the standard white tee. Standard senior tees will be utilized for those 60 years or older and ladies from the standard ladies tees. All tee boxes will be assigned at tournament staff discretion. Players playing from the ladies/senior tees will be subject to a standard subtracted USGA course rating adjustment. For more information on this, please click here. Participants above the age of 59 that wish to play a back tee (and play to a back tee course handicap) may request to do so upon Handicap submission in February. Please note you will play the equivalent of the standard white tee.
Participants will be flighted into 6 flights based on handicap alone. The best 33 indexes will be in flight #1. The next 33 in flight #2 and so on. Age/gender will not be factored in flighting, but will determine your tee box. To ensure a fair playing field within a flight, standard subtracted course rating adjustments will be applied.
You may request to play in the same flight as friend(s), but all players will have to play down to the lowest handicap bracket of the players involved. For example: If a man with a 12 handicap wants to play with his son who has a 7.5 handicap, both men would have to play in the flight that a 7.5 would play. The participant playing down into a lower flight will be able to play at the highest handicap within that flight (If the range was 5-8.9 than he would play at the 8.9 with his son staying at the 7.5). Requesting to be in the same flight as a friend DOES NOT mean you will be placed in the same grouping.
The tournament committee requires all Play Together requests to be made on the Handicap Submission Form that is to be completed in mid-February. No Play Together requests will be accepted after the handicap submission deadline has passed in mid February. No changes will be made to a player’s flight once the course assignments are announced. Each participant in play together’s must make the request of each other in order for it to be accepted. IE: If Player B is an 8 handicap that requests to play down to Player A’s 5 handicap, but Player A does not indicate he would like to play with Player B, no change will be made to either individual
