Bunker Renovation Project Highlights Upgrades at Legends Resort

Legends Resort is one of America’s most popular facilities, and part of the Scottish-inspired property’s appeal lies in its commitment to exceeding golfer expectations.

Parkland is undergoing a bunker renovation project this summerThat commitment is partly reflected in the value of a Legends golf package, but even more so in the work done to maintain and improve the property. The latest round of upgrades at Legends run from the clubhouse to the course.

Legends launched an extensive bunker renovation project on the Parkland Course at the beginning of July. The layout remains opens while the Legends staff renovates two holes per week.

When the project concludes in early September, nearly a third of Parkland’s 110+ bunkers will have been removed, in addition to the renovation of the remaining traps and the installation of new drainage and sand.

The changes will enhance Parkland’s playability and conditioning, sending golfers to the recently refreshed clubhouse with a smile. The clubhouse is home to Myrtle Beach’s busiest golf course restaurant as players redeem the free meals and drinks included in Legend’s ever-popular golf packages

Double Eagle Tavern got a facelift that was completed last winter. The size of the bar was reduced, which didn’t impact functionality and it opened up the dining room, allowing room for additional seating and much more natural light.

The restaurant and lounge added 14 new TVs, some as large as 80 inches, new carpet and new tables, including several high tops.

Legends also added a new private room that features hardwood floors, couches, room for a buffet and it can hold up to 100 people, making it perfect for large groups. The private room also includes audio/visual capabilities that groups (or businesses) may want to take advantage of.

The clubhouse’s back porch was also resurfaced and the downstairs snack bar and bathroom enjoyed a facelift

Legends added a new fleet of Yamaha golf carts as well.

From the cart barn to the golf course and clubhouse, nearly every part of the Legends golf experience has enjoyed an upgrade this summer.
